BITTERSWEET SOCIAL
Alejandra Romo
Who You'll Be Working With
Alejandra's career began in 2016 as a social media intern at a full-service advertising agency in Scottsdale, Arizona. Since then, she's been drafting campaigns, overhauling social media accounts and growing email lists for brands. She's had the opportunity to work with B2B, B2C and D2C businesses in hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, CPG, wholesale, night-life entertainment, cannabis, luxury home builders, nonprofits and more.

She's passionate about humanizing brands to their target audience–one campaign at a time. Creatively telling a brand's story and showcasing them in a light that cuts through the clutter and makes an impact.
When she's not working, you can find her supporting the Chicago-based forum, Together Hospitality, as an authority member, studying for her MBA at DePaul University, running on the lakefront in Chicago, eating out at a new restaurant or playing with her cattle dog, Pepper.

A message from Alejandra
Why the persimmons?
There are two reasons. One, because they're my favorite. There isn't much I look more forward to in the fall than a perfectly ripened, basically mushy, persimmon.
Second, because persimmons are associated with good luck, longevity and serve as spiritual symbols for transformation. A reference to their sharp and bitter taste when unripe–ignorance–that becomes sweet as they mature and fully ripen–wisdom.
This symbolism is the driving force for Bittersweet Social's mission. In the hopes that it will transform not only your business' digital marketing efforts, but your relationship with social media as a whole. Transforming your brand from a bitter state, to a sweet one.
